ROCKPORT, Mass. -- The discovery of weapons, ammunition, and prescription drugs at a home in Rockport has triggered some trouble for a part-time EMT.

James Atkinson, 47, has been arrested twice this month.

Initially, he was charged with larceny and witness intimidation. His license to carry fire arms was suspended, and while he did turn in some guns over to authorities, police were still suspicious he had more.

On Sunday, officers executed a search warrant -- breaking down his door and raiding his home.

Atkinson told police he did not have any more weapons, but behind a locked bedroom door, police found an Army rocket launcher, a tear gas launcher, a loaded 357 magnum, two .22 caliber rifles, one which was loaded, and over a 1000 rounds of ammunition. Officers also found a wide array of weapons and more than a 1,000 pills.

Police are working with federal agents from the FBI and the ATF on this case. Officials are worried there are more weapons out there.

On Atkinson’s Web site, he boasts “Simply put, we hunt spies.” He also claims to be trained and the certified by the National Security Agency.

Atkinson has been freed on $3,500 bail.

He has been suspended without pay from his EMT job.
