Cashier sold licenses to illegal immigrants

SALEM, N.H. -- Several people have been arrested on charges of being involved in a scheme to sell drivers' licenses to illegal immigrants in New Hampshire.
Prosecutors said New Hampshire DMV cashier Donna Rockholt sold driver licenses to illegal immigrants for $500 each.
Investigators said Rockholt, 47, may have sold more than 70 licenses in all.
According to prosecutors, Rockholt was selling the licenses to Adalberto Medina, who ran an auto repair shop in Hookset, N.H.
New Hampshire State Trooper Fred Stamatatos allegedly received free repair work from Medina’s shop. Stamatatos then gave Medina salvage stickers, allowing him to put wrecked and repaired cars on the road without inspection stickers, prosecutors said.
“Certainly when individuals get licenses from another state with an identity that’s not theirs, or that’s a stolen or fraudulent identity, then other things can happen from that. They can get other identities or commit other crimes,” said Prosecutor Jane Young.
Four Massachusetts residents have also been arrested on charges ranging from fraudulent use of a social security number to misuse of identity documents.
