BOSTON (WHDH) -- Power crews are not the only ones getting ready for the incoming potential blizzard. Road crews will be in full force when the snow flies -- and some of them have already been out.
With a potential blizzard on the way, Boston is in the bull's eye,
And the state's Highway Department is busy getting thousands of plow trucks, salters and sanders fueled up and ready to go.
“We got plows, loaders, backhoes, sidewalk equipment, chainsaws,” said Brian Carlisle, Milton DPW.
The state's 350 cities and towns are also preparing for this monster storm --in Quincy, the Public Works commissioner is overseeing the operation there.
In Braintree, 7News found people gassing up and getting ready for the storm.
“[I’m going to stay off the roads tomorrow,] but my wife’s driving to work,” said Bob Alexander.
Mass. Highway told 7News there will be about 45,000 pieces of equipment on the highways.
