FOXBORO, Mass. (WHDH) -- Foxboro is one of Massachusetts’ communities that is consistently hit hardest in snowstorms.

People waking up Saturday morning in Foxboro found the city buried in snow. Winds and fast-falling snow kept people indoors and off the roads - which also meant that most of the snow hadn’t been removed.

A lot of work was waiting for plows, snow blowers and shovelers.

7News’ Nicole Oliverio set out on snowshoes to find her car which had been buried under almost two feet of snow. The snow was piled so high - she wasn’t sure which one was hers. The problem was that the snow was so deep, even with snowshoes it was easy to sink into the feet of snow.

That’s what residents across New England would be dealing with when it came time to clear out. Many cars were completely blocked into wherever they were parked thanks to plows and snow drifts.

While plows were able to clear off the roadways, the earlier you can start digging yourself out - the better.

Plan on several hours but break it up and take time to go inside and get warm.

Bundle up - there’s a good chance you’re going to fall.
