Wet, heavy snow surprises Mansfield residents
MANSFIELD, Mass. (WHDH) -- Wet, heavy snow left Mansfield and nearby communities digging out Friday.
Walter White, 87, hit the jackpot -- just not the jackpot he wanted.
“I was expecting about three inches,” said White.
The snow in Walpole was piled snow high he had to climb out a side-door window to get outside.
“I looked out and I couldn’t get out my door,” said White.
Some areas of the town saw nearly 20 inches of snow.
“We are at a loss for where to put all the snow,” said one woman.
“It’s like cement. The snow blower had a hard time getting through it. And shoveling it weighs a lot when you pick up a shovel,” said Mike Mullahy.
The snow started falling early in the storm and it seemed never ending.
