Police again search home of Patriots' Hernandez
NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WHDH)-- Investigators descended on Aaron Hernandez's home on Saturday, the latest surprise twist in this nearly week-long murder investigation, after 27-year-old Odin Lloyd of Dorchester was found shot to death near Hernandez's North Attleboro home.
State troopers entered the Pats' player’s house wearing gloves. The K-9 unit was here as well Saturday, scouring the backyard. What they were looking for is still unclear, because the three search warrants issued by an Attleboro district court clerk magistrate earlier this week haven't been returned yet.
Later a locksmith arrived; no word on why they were called to the scene either. And investigators were also searching Hernandez's white Audi SUV in the driveway. Late Friday afternoon the last time we saw the Patriots tight end when he arrived back at his home from the law firm. They too, not talking about the investigation. While investigators have come and gone at this point with evidence bags in tow, what were in the bags still very unclear.
It's also unclear if they found what they were looking for when they came here with a search warrant today or if or when they're coming back. But so far no arrests tonight. Again we still have yet to hear from the district attorney, five days after that body was discovered.
