Faithful fans visit home of Hernandez on Sunday
NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WHDH) -- Faithful fans flocked to the million dollar house that's been swarmed by police. It's owner Aaron Hernandez is presumably laying low inside.
“I’m his fan, yes. I’m supporting him. I think he's innocent,” said Hernandez supporter, Maria Grullon.
Two women, one in a Hernandez jersey made the trip to North Attleboro hoping to get face-to-face with the athlete who has been hiding out, but they were disappointed.
“I wanted him to sign my jersey,” Grullon said.
The Patriots tight end was last seen Friday afternoon, heading back to his house with his attorney.
Publicly he isn't saying anything, but he remains the focus of an intensifying police investigation into the death of Odin Lloyd.
The 27-year-old semi-pro football player was found dead on Monday, about a mile from Hernandez's house.
Hernandez hasn't been charged with anything but investigators have made repeated trips to his house.
On Saturday state police arrived with paperwork in hand. Evidence bags were taken from the house, police dogs combed the property, a car was carefully searched, and at some point, someone needed a locksmith.
