Police investigate two shootings in Brockton
BROCKTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- Tuesday morning, Brockton Police were investigating two overnight shootings. Police said there was a shooting on Green Street, but did not release any details about it.
They did say they were searching for the person responsible for another shooting. In that incident, one person was shot on West Park Street late Monday night.
The victim's name and condition were not released.
Officers were on scene investigating early Tuesday morning.
Monday night's shooting happened just six days after a deadly attack on Clinton Street, which is just about a mile from West Park Street.
Police said someone used a hammer to killed 74-year-old Lee Harmon last Tuesday.
Harmon was a minister and a great-grandfather.
Officers said someone attacked Harmon on Clinton Street.
Relatives said the 74-year-old was riding his bike to go help his daughter, who has cerebral palsy.
The hammer was left in the road.
