Male performer accused of assaulting two women
WAREHAM, Mass. (WHDH) -- A male stripper who goes by the stage name "Damion” faced indecent assault and rape charges Thursday.
Prosecutors said Patrick Lapado was hired to work at a house party in Wareham on Tuesday night.
“He had the people there at the party put their initials on dollar bills and drew four of them out of the hat,” the prosecutor said.
Two of the women told police they were then sexually assaulted by Lapado.
“The defendant then brought them into a room with a chair, put the chair behind the door. The room was dark,” the prosecutor said.
Lapado denied the allegations; his lawyer argued in court that the first alleged victim did not warn the second.
“After she makes these allegations that she was raped by the defendant her best friend goes into the room to have the same private dance given,” Lapado’s defense attorney said.
Lapado has no criminal history but prosecutors did say he was the suspect in a similar case in Providence back in 2008.
The company Lapado said he works for did not respond to an opportunity for comments.
