Men rob Weymouth market, flee to Hingham
HINGHAM, Mass. (WHDH) -- Police say two men, including 26-year-old Angelo Ayuso of Dorchester, walked into a market in Weymouth and robbed the store around 3:30 p.m. Friday before fleeing to Hingham where police caught up with them and arrested one man who was charged with armed robbery.
Police say the other suspect jumped a fence and allegedly carjacked an 85-year-old woman
“He ran up to her opened the car door told her to ‘get out, give me the keys’ she resisted and then he grabbed her arm and then pulled her arm and pulled her out then he took the keys and threw her on the pavement,” Steven Dearth of the Hingham Police Department said.
The second suspect was able to get away.
“She was mad and she was upset too and she was shaken up, I think it didn’t really set in until later on. Of course being her age with what she’s been through physically she is apt to have injuries,” Dearth said.
Officers recovered the money and one of the guns in a wooded area.
The elderly woman's vehicle was recovered in Quincy. Police do not
believe the suspect who is still on the loose is in the area
