Student athletes help after witnessing SUV rollover
ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WHDH) -- Four high school athletes were out for a run in Attleboro when they witnessed a car crash right in front of them.
The teens didn’t hesitate to help the passengers in the SUV that rolled over.
"The driver seemed more injured so we carried him to the grass and he laid down,” freshman Spencer Marcotte said.
The students attend Bishop Feehan High School, and they said the lessons they learned at the Catholic school helped them in the situation.
"At Feehan one of the things they teach you is when you see your fellow man in trouble to assist him. So I'm just living that out," junior Jason Abdow said.
The school honored the boys' actions by giving them each a pride pin.
A man and woman were hospitalized but their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
