Pedestrian hit, killed on I-93 N in Braintree

BRAINTREE, Mass. -- A 16-year-old was hit and killed while trying to cross the I-93 North around 11 p.m. lWednesday night.

The Randolph teen was walking with another friend across the highway when he was hit by a car north of Exit 6 in Braintree, according to State Police.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The highway was closed for hours while officers investigated.
