'Gone Baby Gone' actress charged in break-in

QUINCY, Mass. -- A local actress who was handpicked by director Ben Affleck for a role in his movie Gone Baby Gone is now facing charges for breaking into a Quincy home and allegedly lying to police.
Jill Quigg, the South Boston native, played the loud mouthed expletive spewing friend of Oscar winner Amy Ryan several years ago.
Now Quigg has an unflattering booking photo after being arrested for breaking and entering. According to Quincy police, Quigg and a male friend were seen walking away from an apartment with a flat screen TV and printer.
But Quigg’s longtime boyfriend said she never stepped inside that apartment.
“She did not go into the building. She didn’t have nothing on her. She tried to walk away, but she was with them so they took her too,” said Larry Schwindt, Quigg’s boyfriend.
According to the criminal complaints, Quigg first told police she saw a man break into the apartment, and she then ran after him and picked up the stolen items after the burglar dropped them.
However, two neighbors identified Quigg and her friend as the two people who stole the items from the empty apartment. The burglary took place around noon on Friday, and police said those neighbors ran after Quigg, cornering her before police arrived.
According to police paper work, Quigg admitted the burglary was drug related.
“Right now she has a problem. She has an addiction problem,” said Schwindt.
Quigg’s boyfriend also said that Quigg has been battling a heroin addiction for years.
The judge ordered her to attend a drug treatment program and abstain from using any drugs or alcohol.
