Police investigate after 3 shot, wounded in RI

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Police are investigating after three people were shot and wounded in Providence shortly after a party let out.
Police say when they arrived at the scene at about 4:45 a.m. Saturday, they were flagged down by two drivers who said three friends in their cars had been shot while riding inside.
Police escorted the drivers to Rhode Island Hospital with the victims, who were aged 17-, 20- and 22-years-old.
On Saturday afternoon, police said the three males were alive, but police didn't know their conditions.
Police said they found numerous shell casings at the Warrington Avenue scene and a trail of blood to the home's back door. They say one resident told them he'd hosted a party there, and it had just let out when he heard the shots.
