Woman shot in Milton home invasion

MILTON, Mass. (WHDH) -- Police in Milton are searching for three suspects who may have been involved in an armed home invasion.

Police say they received a call around 11 p.m. Tuesday and responded to a home on Blue Hill Avenue.

There they found a woman, who had been shot in the leg, outside the home.

Investigators say it's early in the investigation but they do have some leads.

"We may be looking for multiple suspects, all of which were armed," Chief Richard Wells said.

Police have sealed-off the scene and obtained search warrants.

The victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.
