Volunteers clean up Attleboro cemeteries

ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WHDH) -- Volunteers in Attleboro spent Earth Day Sunday cleaning up multiple historic burial grounds.

The city's historical commission and mayor gave the group permission to work on six burial grounds.

Crews removed debris and cleaned up overgrown weeds.

Volunteers hope to continue cleanup efforts; the volunteers are also looking into who is responsible for regular maintenance and upkeep of the grave sites.
