FOXBORO, Mass. (WHDH) -- Someone was hit and killed by an AMTRAK train between Mansfield and Sharon on Monday evening.
Transit police detectives were on the scene investigating Monday evening.
It is not known why the person was on the tracks. Amtrak says there were no injuries to its train's 192 passengers or crew.
AMTRAK resumed Providence service two hours after the incident.
Bus service was provided for passengers while service was suspended.
