SALEM, Mass. (AP) -- Authorities say a Salem woman has been charged with motor vehicle homicide and operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol after a passenger in her vehicle died in an early morning crash.
Salem police Sgt. Marc Berube say 25-year-old Angelique Griffin's vehicle hit a parked tow truck on Boston Street at about 4 a.m. Saturday.
Berube says 19-year-old passenger Dillon Renard of Danvers died on impact. Renard was riding in the front passenger seat.
Griffin suffered minor injuries and was treated at a local hospital. She is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
