RI man killed after head-on collision in Westerly

WESTERLY, R.I. (AP) -- A 45-year-old Westerly man has died after a head-on-collision.
Police said Jon Alberghini was pronounced dead at Westerly Hospital after a crash Saturday night on Hopkinton Road.
Authorities said Alberghini's 2003 Ford pickup truck collided head-on with a 2008 Subaru driven by 74-year-old Carolyn Bernasconi.
Police said Bernasconi, of Hopkinton, was taken to Rhode Island Hospital, where she is being treated for serious injuries.
Both vehicles sustained serious frontend damage.
Police are investigating.
