TAUNTON, Mass (WHDH) -- There is plenty to clean up in Taunton today, after a microburst left a mess in its path.

The microburst took down lots of branches and even entire trees. The National Weather Service said the damage was heaviest on Eldrige Street and Tremont Street. Out along Cobbs Creek, six maple trees were uprooted landing on four parked cars. There were also reports of two trees falling into houses, but only caused minor damage.

After surveying the damage the National Weather Service said the microburst brought wind speeds of 70 or 80 miles per hour.
