AG Coakley tells Middleboro to repeal swearing ban

MIDDLEBORO, Mass. (WHDH) -- Attorney General Martha Coakley recommended that the town of Middleboro change or repeal its public profanity bylaw on free speech grounds.
This summer, the town approved a proposal that would allow police to enforce a decades-old ban by fining people who swear in public.
