QUINCY, Mass. (WHDH) -- Wal-Mart workers across the country planned to strike after the store planned to opens its doors on Thanksgiving Day.
That promise didn't pan out in Massachusetts.
Workers didn’t put an all out stop to shopping in the Bay State, but there will be some form of protest at all 48 Wal-Mart stores in Massachusetts.
Quincy protesters demonstrated overnight Thursday in support of workers who say the company has retaliated against them for speaking out against low wages, lack of benefits, and other issues.
In Maryland Friday morning about 100 demonstrators marched outside a Wal-Mart near Washington, DC. Workers there say they were protesting Wal-Mart’s Thanksgiving and Black Friday store hours.
