CT man punches elderly Wal-Mart greeter

MILFORD, Conn. (WHDH) -- A man in Connecticut faces charges after police said he punched a Wal-Mart greeter in the face.

Police said Andrew Marez ran up to a man in the parking lot of the store and punched him.

Marez then dashed into the restroom, and when he emerged, police said he punched the store's elderly greeter in the mouth.

A spokeswoman for Wal-Mart issued a statement on the incident, saying, "The person's behavior was completely unacceptable. Our thoughts are with those as they recover and are thankful that everyone seems to be doing okay."
