BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (WHDH) -- For the last 47 years Charles Underhill has been cheering on the Patriots as a season ticket holder.

It hasn't always been easy, some seasons they won just one game, some games so cold his hot chocolate froze solid but it didn't matter he considers himself a super fan.

“It's invigorating,” said Charles Underhill.

Those iconic moments, games you can’t forget, the snow bowl, he was there.

In 1982 when the field had to be cleared of snow by a tractor so that John Smith could kick a game winning field goal, he was there.

“My tickets were somewhere down near the 10 yard line, near where they kicked the field goal, so I had a really good view regardless of the snow and all the sudden I look up and see the snow plow come along and they are clearing out the stripes all up and down the field,” said Charles Underhill.

His youngest son shared his home game perfect attendance record for most of his childhood.

“He went to all the games for at least 15 seasons, he was like me and we would do all sorts of things to make sure we got there on time. He was like me, there wasn't any reason to be late and there wasn't any reason to leave the game ‘til it ended,” said Underhill.

Through all the New England freezing rain and snow, for more than 400 games he's never missed a kick off, of left before the clock hit zeroes.

He's put his game companions in categories of gold, silver and honorary members. If you are a gold member to Charles, you've attended at least 40 Patriots games with him. His wife Janice has been by his side the whole time.

“I should be in the gold,” said Janice Underhill.

While he remembers the greats fondly, for this household it’s one quarterback in particular that's getting the job done.

“There are a lot of them, it’s not really fair to pick out one, but Tom Brady is such a good leader and he is a future hall of fame player, so you have to start with him and work your way down to others,” said Charles Underhill.

“Oh, I would say Tom Brady, yeah he's tops to me, yeah," said Janice Underhill.

Charles remembers paying as little as $6 to watch the patriots play the Texans. He paid $185 for each ticket, but says it’s well worth it and he will stay to the end of the game no matter what.
