FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (WHDH) -- A tremendous cleanup is underway in Foxboro as the temperatures drop and the snow becomes harder to shovel.

“About a five foot drift in front of the door so I went out a side window. Then came around with a shovel in order to get the door open.” says Town Manager, Kevin Paicos.

Drifting snow is the least of everyone’s problems. Now it’s the potential of next week’s rain storm.

Gov. Deval Patrick warned residents about the potential risk during a briefing Saturday afternoon.

“Don’t take any unnecessary chances but with the rain coming on top of the snow it adds significantly to the weight and therefore the structural risk to some roofs," he said.

The state will be digging out for days and schools in Foxboro may be closed until Tuesday so sidewalks and roofs can be safely cleared.
