SWANSEA, Mass. – The woman accused of kidnapping her niece in Swansea says she is not guilty.

Alyssa Dawn Johnson, 38, of Pennsylvania has denied that she is the one who kidnapped a 13-month-old girl last month.

Johnson allegedly drove away with her niece, Jaylin Boudria, while her sister was inside a gas station. Boudria was later found abandoned and unharmed outside a business in Middletown, Conn.

Johnson claims she was not in Massachusetts the day of the kidnapping.

A judge will schedule an extradition hearing for Johnson, who remains in jail on a $1 million bond.
