SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WHDH) -- Doctors have discovered a benign mass on the brain of the Springfield minor league hockey player who suffered a seizure during a game on Sunday.

Wade MaCleod, who played for Northeastern until 2011, went into convulsions after taking a hit and had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher.

Doctors will perform more examinations to figure out the appropriate treatment.
