WORCESTER, Mass. (WHDH) -- Heavy, wet snow caused slippery roads and scattered power outages in parts of Maine and New Hampshire. The Worcester area saw a mixture of conditions, causing a slushy mess on some roads.
More than 1,000 outages have been reported in New Hampshire by Sunday morning.
In Worcester, crews were treating the roads as temperatures hovered near freezing Sunday morning. The Worcester area saw more snow than rain, but accumulation was minimal.
Snow built up on side roads in Worcester, causing messy conditions.
“I was expecting this. They said one to three on the latest forecast. It’s not fun that it’s slushy but it’s New England,” one man said.
