WORCESTER, Mass. (WHDH) -- In Worcester, they just missed out on setting a record for snow in February. It’s March, but once again, the Worcester area will most likely pick up the most snow.

You know when Weather Channel's Jim Cantore shows up -- it's a big deal.

“That’s what I do. I go chase bad weather, and so people expect me to be in the worst of it,” Cantore said.

Worcester is getting used to this snow fall. In February alone, it saw 44.5 inches of snow.

It kept folks like Frank Campaniello busy.

“Very cold. Every four to five days we had snowfall,” said Campaniello.

Within hours on Thursday the snow started coating roads, creating a slick and messy drive.

“We’ll probably be just trying to keep up with the storm,” Campaniello said. “All the other gentlemen will be plowing and keeping these main lines open.”

Worcester, with its third snowiest February and a strong march, it's easy to see why the city is drawing national attention.

“I think who loves to see me the most is probably the owners of grocery stores. That means the shelves are going to empty. Water, bread, and the stuff like that is going to be empty so that’s definitely a big deal,” Cantore said.

The storm is expected to continue into Friday.
