5 firefighters injured in Uxbridge home blaze

UXBRIDGE, Mass. -- Seven people were injured - including five firefighters - in a house fire in Uxbridge on Saturday evening.
The fire started near the basement of the home. A few people were inside when the fire broke out. Two people who were inside the home were injured - one who ran back inside to save the dog.
Those two people were brought to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Authorities said a gas line in the house was also damaged. The home next door was evacuated due to concerns over the gas line.
As firefighters went inside, some of the house started to crumble. Firefighters suffered from cuts and bruises, while others had smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
