Workers survive storm in Brimfield garage

BRIMFIELD, Mass. -- The tornadoes that struck across western Massachusetts Wednesday tore down buildings and left behind piles of debris. In Brimfield, workers took shelter in a garage that collapsed around them.

When it was all over, the two men emerged to survey what little was left behind.

"That was all woods across the street," one of them can be heard saying.

Trees looked more like twigs in the aftermath, and cars were scattered like toys.

"This is the junkyard behind 86 Holland Road,” the man behind the camera said. “One Stop Auto Specialties."

That man and one other were working at the used car lot when the storm hit.

They took cover in a garage, huddling together beneath the stairs.

Once the storm passed, the men pushed themselves out from the pile of debris and began filming.

Buildings destroyed and classic cars left worthless, the men search for signs of life.
