Framingham St. student charged in fatal crash
FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- A Framingham State University student police say was behind the wheel of a car when it crashed and killed a passenger is facing charges.
Prosecutors say 21-year-old Brooke Uttley of Haverhill is scheduled to be arraigned in Framingham District Court on Wednesday on charges of vehicular homicide and driving under the influence of liquor causing serious bodily harm.
Authorities tell The MetroWest Daily News that 20-year-old Ashley Donahue of Bridgewater, also a Framingham State student, died when she was thrown from Uttley's car after it hit a utility pole early in the morning of Dec. 3.
Uttley and three other passengers also suffered injuries.
Uttley has not been arrested. Instead she was issue a citation to appear in court.
