Dogs in truck die from heat in Deerfield
DEERFIELD, Mass. (WHDH) -- Two dogs in south Deerfield died after being left in a truck in Wednesday’s high temperatures.
The dogs were left in the back of a covered pickup with fresh water and the windows open; unfortunately, the dogs still died.
Vets in south Deerfield say they respond to two to three dozen cases of heat stroke every summer.
