FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (WHDH) -- Police are trying to hunt down the man behind a series of strange encounters on the campus of Framingham State University.

Framingham State police said a man is going around campus and asking girls to kiss him because he’s on a scavenger hunt.

“That’s probably not okay,” said one woman.

“I think it’s creepy,” said another woman. “Extremely creepy and I would be pretty freaked out.”

Police said the campus kisser has gone up to women, said he needed the kiss and then asked them to sign a piece of paper so he could get points.

Most students are taking the warning seriously, but can’t help but laugh at the man’s technique. Others have a different reaction.

“He’s not going around…kissing people, he’s asking them. We have freedom of speech. I can ask you -- Can I get a kiss please? If you say no, then that’s a no,” said Queenie Desulme, a student.

Even so, students are making sure they stay safe.

Police described the suspect as a man between 30 and 35 years old. Police said the man has not broken any laws, but he’s getting dangerously close.
