Milford hit with more than a foot of snow

MILFORD, Mass. (WHDH) -- Milford received more than a foot of snow in Saturday’s storm, ensuring a long day of clean-up on Sunday
“I’ve been going since- I don’t even know what day it is. Today’s Sunday. I’ve been going since Saturday morning, early Saturday morning, all through the night. Love every minute of it,” said Scott Lanzetta, a plow driver.
It’s overtime for plows and it’s good money.
“Last year was a pretty bad year. There wasn’t much snow. So, hopefully this year makes up for it,” said Lanzetta.
Sunday morning, homeowners were stuck digging out of more than a foot of snow, a jackpot to some.
“Oh great. Do we get a prize?” said Jim Webber.
“Gonna hang up my shovel right now or the broom and go spend my winnings,” said Darryl Beagle.
It was the biggest snow storm to hit Milford in roughly a year, an unexpected surprise.
For some, it was a welcomed return to winter.
“It’s winter. We live in New England, it doesn’t bother me,” said Webber.
