WORCESTER, Mass. -- A woman accused of murdering another woman for her baby faced a judge on Thursday.
Julie Corey, who was arrested last summer, was indicted today for the murder of 23-year old Darlene Haynes.
Corey is accused of killing Haynes and then stealing the baby from her womb.
Haynes, who was about eight months pregnant, was found dead in her Worcester home back in July.
The autopsy showed Haynes was hit with a blunt object, strangled, and her abdomen cut.
The baby is currently in custody of the State Department of Children and Families.
