Lord Jesus Christ on being hit by driver in Mass.

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. -- A man from Western Massachusetts is speaking out about being the victim of a car accident last week, but what is grabbing attention is not his statement, but rather his name.

Lord Jesus Christ, III, was in a Northampton crosswalk when he was hit by car last Tuesday.

The 50-year-old artist says he was out buying art supplies when the accident happened.

"To me it sounds like it was almost as if she hit another car. It’s what it sounded, like to me, I remember the sound, and it’s like, you hear the crashing of the denting of the metal," he said.

Christ, who legally changed his name a couple of years ago, says his injuries weren't serious.

The 20-year-old driver was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
