DORAL, Fla. (WHDH) -- Smack in the middle of the PGA tour at the golf course in Doral, Florida - when security is at an all time high, two uninvited guests snuck in, in the dark of the night.

"So I thought you were out here because we were famous golfers. This is about the beef here, not us?" asked a golfer.

They weren't here to see the course. They came here to eat it.

No one knows where these cows came from, or how they got here, but they left giant piles of clues on a nearby sidewalk.

They settled in at the 12th hole.

In an attempt to get the cows to a more appropriate pasture, police brought in a rancher. He came armed not with a rope, or a trailer, but with a bag of bread which he dumped in front of these unusual suspects.

The Hansel and Gretel approach did not work. After all, why go for an appetizer when you can have an entire course?

Hours later, the stand-off continued.

By 11 p.m. no one had claimed the missing cows but the cows had surely claimed their turf.

After a lot of head scratching, it was finally time to call in the Department of Agriculture to get these cows to mooo-ve.
