Runner has baby, didnít know she was pregnant
UNDATED (WHDH) -- A Minnesota Marathon runner was shocked to learn she was pregnant just minutes before giving birth.
Trish Staine started to feel pain while training for a race when her baby began arriving. She said the pain got so bad she thought she was going to die and knew she had to get help. Shortly after she arrived in the emergency room the mystery was solved, she was pregnant. But Trish and her husband John are still wondering how this could have happened, since John had a vasectomy. But this experience has made her a believer in miracles.
“Like I said I was always, always skeptical of people that said I didn’t know I was pregnant and I was always like oh you’re such a liar and this and that,” she said.
And her husband couldn’t believe it either.
“What baby? There’s no baby! Who’s baby? Whose baby is it? Who had a baby? Where’s my wife? I didn’t see a baby. Nobody could explain where the baby was at, where the baby was hiding. I was still in shock, I was in shock,” John said.
The couple named the baby Mira, short for miracle. She weighed in at a healthy six pounds, six ounces.
