Viral video of Robert Kraft draws critics
FOXBORO, Mass. (WHDH) -- Patriots owner Robert Kraft took the Internet by storm after his cameo in a video posted online.
It's a side of the businessman and NFL owner we've never seen before, and it's one that has a lot of people talking.
Kraft, 71, has taken some PR hits recently -- first for his support of a casino in Foxboro which many people didn't want -- and now for a sexy video that's been leaked online.
It’s something Kraft had hoped no one would see; Bob Kraft, like you've never seen him before, doing a little dance for a woman in a bikini.
The video has gone viral -- it's popping up on various websites. Someone sent it to Barstoolsports.com Tuesday night.
“We get millions of things and the second I saw it I knew it was gold,” said David Portnoy, Barstoolsports.com
The Patriots team owner appears with a 32-year-old actress 7News has learned he met in Los Angeles named Ricki Lander. Kraft has described her as his "pal." He was spotted at a Celtics game with her.
“Whatever makes him happy, I mean if he wants to date someone that's 40 years
younger than him, let him do it,” Jared Paulson
A team source says the video is Lander’s audition tape for an upcoming movie written by Vince Vaughn and starring actor Owen Wilson who appeared together in “Wedding Crashers.”
The source says Kraft has met both actors, and decided to help Lander stand out by appearing with her, reading Wilson’s lines on the tape.
At one point you see him throwing a punch. Some people we spoke to at Patriot Place didn’t like what they saw.
“You can’t be parading around like that. It’s just really inappropriate. I think it was really disrespectful,” said Mariah Shea.
“It’s sad. It really is sad because he’s a well-respected man around here and to think that he would make a decision to do that, I think that was a bad choice,” said Terrianne Shea.
Bob Kraft, said to be embarrassed by the video, released this statement:
"I tried to help Ricki prepare an audition tape for an upcoming Vince Vaughn/Owen Wilson comedy by reading Wilson’s lines. I never intended that it would be made public and I regret that it has. I think we can all agree that Owen Wilson has nothing to worry about. I am going to stick to my day job."
