Rescuers save man from jumping to death with baby

UNDATED (WHDH) -- A news crew in China captured rescuers using extreme measures to dramatically stop a man from jumping to death with a 2-year-old in his arms.

Crews were called to the apartment building in china after a man had an argument with his wife.

When they arrived, was sitting on the ledge of the 6th floor cradling the toddler, crying and screaming and threatening to jump.

The man refused to go inside so rescue workers quickly inflated a safety cushion at the foot of the building in case the man jumped or fell.

Two firefighters then climbed to the roof and began repelling down the building.

When one firefighter got to the 7th floor, just above the man on the ledge, he delivered a flying kick that saved the man and the child, sending them both tumbling back into the bedroom and to safety.
