Love among the ruins of Hurricane Sandy

NEW YORK (WHDH) -- Hurricane Sandy destroyed the church where a New York couple planned to get married. Instead, their wedding was held in the middle of the devastation, turning it into a symbol of strength and resilience.
Amidst the wreckage left by Hurricane Sandy there was something unexpected. A hotel on Staten Island was full of refugees. The Coast Guard and Red Cross slept on one side of the wall, the other side a wedding for 316 people was being set up.
Christine Hassett, her fiancé Matt Bobe and their families lost a lot in the storm. So did every guest that attended the nuptials. Some guests couldn’t attend the wedding because they had no gas.
