UNDATED (WHDH) -- How's this for a headline: The end of the world has been cancelled!
NASA released a statement Tuesday saying:
"The world will not end in 2012. Our planet has been getting along just fine for more than 4 billion years, and credible scientists worldwide know of no threat associated with 2012." - NASA
It all started with an ancient Mayan calendar that spawned rumors of Armageddon on December 21st, 2012 -- including a collision with an asteroid or other planet.
NASA got so many calls from people about where to hide, they decided to release a statement saying people had nothing to worry about.
