Seattle family gets creative with their Christmas tree

SEATTLE, Wash. (WHDH) -- A Seattle family gets creative with its Christmas tree this year.

It’s growing right through the roof!

The family said they created this illusion by cutting their 14 foot tree into two parts.

The bigger half is inside the house and the smaller half is on the roof.

They had to bolt down the prop so the wind wouldn't blow it off.
