Photo of runner from Spain shows ultimate good sport

UNDATED (WHDH) -- A runner from Spain is getting a lot of attention after losing a recent race.

A picture has gone viral across the internet showing why.

In the final stretch of the race the runner in the lead mistakenly stopped short, thinking he had already crossed the finish line.

Instead of taking advantage of it, the runner in second place let his opponent know. The picture shows him tapper the runner in front of him to tell him to continue. He let him finish first saying he was the rightful winner.
