Strange flying object confuses golf announcers

LA JOLLA, Calif. (WHDH) -- Something strange was spotted in the sky during a southern California golf tournament Thursday afternoon.

During the opening round, a human figure was spotted flying over the course.

Was it a bird? A plane? Yes...sort of.

The unidentified flying object turned out to be a glider doing an impersonation of superman.

It was a promotional aircraft for the launch of a new lightweight golf shoe from Adidas.
