Booster seat safety rankings released

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety released results of crash tests involving 72 models of booster seats.
In the latest evaluations, the institute rates 21 booster models as “best bets” and seven as “good bets.”
The institute says manufacturers have made production improvements over last year when only nine seats evaluated were "best bets" and six were “good bets.”
In this year's tests, another 36 seats were rated "in between" meaning they could work in some vehicles but not all. Plus, eight car seats fell into the "not recommended" category this year.
