2 slain USC students remembered by friends

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Police are looking at video surveillance tapes in hopes of yielding new evidence in the slayings of two Chinese students attending the University of Southern California.

Cmdr. Andrew Smith said Thursday police are examining the videos taken by cameras in a neighborhood where Ming Qu and Ying Wu were killed by a gunman.

No arrests have been made and no description of the suspect has been released.

The two students were killed while they sat in a BMW outside Wu's apartment. Investigators said Wednesday's slayings might be a robbery or an attempted carjacking but they haven't ruled out other possibilities.
