HENRYVILLE, Ind. (NBC) -- A Henryville, Indiana mother who was seriously injured in the March 2 tornadoes finally has a sign of hope.
During the deadly tornadoes that ripped through Henryville last month, Stephanie Decker put her own life in danger to shield her children.
Decker did what most mothers would do, but this came with a big personal lost for her.
Decker had to have both of her legs amputated, but now she is in the process of getting a new pair of legs.
Monday she was fitted for a prosthetic leg, which is one of the early steps of her journey to walk again.
