Boy suffering from cancer's wish is to help others

UNDATED (WHDH) -- A little boy battling cancer made a one-of-a-kind wish -- while some kids want to meet movie stars or go on trips, one 5-year-old boy wanted to do more.
He wanted to volunteer to serve others at a going away party at Disney Land.
Leland Camara has been waiting nearly a month to be at Kid’s Kitchen, a program that provides free meals to children. Leland has been battling leukemia since September and as part of his wish for the Make A Wish Foundation he asked to serve others at his Disneyland going away party.
His smile and excitement radiates and he shared that with his 6-year-old sister and his spunky twin brother Skyler.
The reason why Leland wanted to serve others is simple -- because so many people helped him, he wanted to help others.
This past winter, dispathcers from the Anchorage fire department brought Santa to the Camara family’s doorstep. It was a big surprise for a family who otherwise wouldn’t have had a Christmas.
Leland’s health is much better following a hard few months, but his parents say he’ll need to get chemotherapy once a month for the next three years.
Leland and his family spent the weekend in Disneyland.
